The CARICS International Fine Arts Festival introductory exhibit dubbed “Affair of the Arts” will be on March 9, 2019 at the picturesque Old Hospital Park. This is a lead up to the inaugural grand exhibit proposed for Spring 2020.
The CARICS International Fine Arts Festival is a world-class art exhibition and entertainment event, specially presented by the Cachet Caribbean Community Society (CARICS) to feature a mix of talented new artists as well as established professionals and galleries from Jamaica alongside players from the international market.
In keeping with CARICS’s mandate, the event also carries an art and artist development component, as emerging talents have the opportunity to participate in seminars and workshops, hosted by local and international industry professionals, focused on skills training, professional development and best practices related to the industry.
As you may know, there are various art festivals staged in Art Meccas around the world, which have been a hot bed for driving tourism, job creation and cultural identity in these cities. Of these, the 64 billion dollar global industry as referenced by Statista and The Art Market 2018 is dominated by the US and China. The International Fine Arts Festival is strategically positioned to satisfy this niche market which helps to contribute to the country’s GDP and is expected to offer noticeable returns on stake-holder investments.
With the scope and depth it promises, The CARICS International Fine Arts Festival brings together the widest cross section of art disciplines into one (1) place.
